I am honors and pleasure to extend my deepest appreciation to elected as the Chair of Hong Kong section of SAE International this session. I would like to thank all our Honorary Chair, Committee Member and Members for their contributions in the past.

Society of Automotive and Aeronautical Engineers (SAE International), founded in 1905, is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, aviation, automotive and commercial vehicle industries ; Hong Kong section (SAE-HK ) has been established in 1999, it has made a great contributions to the improvement of professional standards for Hong Kong and PRC automobile industries, as well as the aviation industry, through the govern of manufacturing standard and related technical acknowledgement.

In this era of rapid development, the development of automobiles from traditional internal combustion engines to pure electrical vehicles and autonomous technology used on the road, can be said as a milestone in the automobile industry; Recently, the development of hydrogen energy has played a vital role in aviation, marine and automobiles, it is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. As a professional society, we shall take the responsibility to drive our industry forward whether in environmental technology, smart transportation or aviation safety. I hope that through our platform, our members can communicate and learn from each other, continue to innovate and improve the technical knowhow to satisfy the demand of sustainable development.

In the future, we will made an effort to organize the seminars and study tour with various government body and industry organizations and invite the industries expertise to share their valuable experience in order to drive the vitality and innovation to our community.
